“Urban Decay” menswear line by Samantha Plasencia

Samantha Plasencia releases new S/S 2015 RTW line premiering menswear separates title “Urban Decay.” Her S/S 2015 line consisted of twenty-four looks with her debut of men’s clothing interpreted into street wear. With such a great response, Samantha plans on continuing adding menswear into her future collections.

An inspiration of casual dressing mixed with an urban street style makes this guy looked relax but still fashion forward, who doesn’t love a fashionable guy?

Samantha hopes to cater to a wider audience with separates that can fit into any wardrobe and be transitional.

The arts and creativity just came natural. Attending the University of the Incarnate Word she went in not even touching a sewing machine to leaving on top by winning first place in construction at the Cutting Edge Fiesta fashion show. Departing college Samantha’s vision was clear. She has exceeded her own expectations about how others view her work.

Starting design in 2004, Samantha enjoyed working with unconventional items and creating wearable art. Everything from paper origami clothing to extraordinary headpieces, she was critiqued an Avant garde designer in 2011 by Auxiliary Magazine. “ I want to pursue catering to a broader spectrum, but Avant garde & all things weird will always have my heart.”

Considered a favorite in San Antonio, Samantha now currently resides in Austin to have a better focus on her vision. Samantha has showcased at New York fashion week and plans to do more runway shows in the future with hopes to influence others through her work. Landing a spot on the latest season of Project Runway Season 13 has given her the opportunity to share her passion with the world. Urban Chic mixed with a bit of edge definitely has people looking twice at this Texas designer.
