Top 5 Wellness Trends in 2020

The wellness and health market has seen its growth in the last decade. More and more people are starting to take good care of themselves and acknowledging their needs. They also became aware of the importance of natural supplements for optimal health.

As a result, a lot of people turned to plant-based diets, started vaping CBD oil through a marijuana pen and using herbs as natural remedies, and made meditation and yoga part of their everyday life. And, it seems that they will continue focusing on their overall health and wellness this year, too. Here are the top 5 wellness trends predicted for 2020.

1. CBD Oil for Stress and Anxiety

A lot of people suffer from anxiety and almost everyone experiences stress every day. Although doctors prescribe certain anti-stress medications, not all of them actually help. In fact, some of them can harm your liver or stomach due to containing very strong and harmful substances. CBD oil, on the other hand, has shown that is can reduce your stress and anxiety without harming your body. That’s why many people started taking it as tinctures, capsules, creams, or vape it through a dry herb vaporizer or another vape device.

According to experts, CBD oil will continue to be one of the biggest wellness trends in 2020. This is due to the variety of products containing CBD oil, their availability, and ease of use. In fact, it is predicted that there will be more edibles available to make the CBD experience even more convenient. So, if you are looking for a natural way to reduce your stress and deal with anxiety, you might consider using this oil.

2. Focus on Sleep

Rejoice, sleepyheads, because 2020 is the year when sleeping becomes more important than ever. According to statistics, half of the people feel exhausted which is a result of not enough sleeping or getting a good night’s sleep. That’s why this year, people will take midday naps in the office using nap bars or nap pods. Also, many people will go on the so-called “sleepcations” – vacations where you sleep a lot, go to massages, and have meditation and/or yoga classes. Moreover, sleep will be seen as the essential self-recovery method of the body.

3. Emotional Wellness

To be healthy means to be, both, physically and mentally healthy. While most people focus on their bodies and try to look as good as possible, not many people actually work on their mental health. Hopefully, this year, more people will turn to their feelings and mental wellness.

As it’s predicted, people will focus on their emotional needs by talking to therapists and practicing mindfulness. Moreover, there will be more wellness treatments which will include emotional healing and mindfulness. And, there will be wellness businesses that will offer classes on improving your mental health and wellness.

4. Meditation Before All

If high-intensity workouts were in the focus the last decade, this decade, recovery fitness will take their place. Apart from low-intensity workouts, it is predicted that people will focus most on meditation. This is because meditation allows your body to heal, recover, and recharge. It also improves your mental health and wellness by incorporating breathing, mindfulness, and visualization.

As a matter of fact, people will try different types of meditation and choose the one that works for them the best. For beginners, any meditation is good as long as they are guided by professionals. But, if you are looking for a meditation that can help you with something specific, e.g. Stress and anxiety or forgiveness, you can try types like Transcendental or Metta meditation.

Additionally, people will use acupuncture and acupressure as alternative medicine practices. These methods, like meditation, support your body self-healing and recovery. They also help reduce pain and relax.

5. Gym in Your Home

Although mental health will be in the focus, it doesn’t mean that people will forget about their physical health. As a matter of fact, people will work on their overall health in order to achieve complete wellness. Therefore, apart from meditating and trying alternative medicine practices, people will also work on their bodies. But, this year that will be different.

As it is predicted, people will make their home gym by using home fitness equipment. In that way, they will save on time and monthly memberships. Plus, they won’t have the excuse “I don’t feel like going out” even in winter or when the weather is bad.

According to experts, people will combine fitness equipment and hardware to get a real-life studio experience without leaving their homes. For example, they will use a large screen and audio to interact with highly-trained fitness instructors and a certain fitness machine. They will do the exercises guided by the instructor without actually being in the studio with them.
