• Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS)
These systems are installed and used by the industries to measure the emissions of greenhouse and other gases at regular intervals. CEMS provides specialized assistance in measuring even the opacity of the gaseous matters at the significant emissions.
• Emissions Control Systems
These systems are pro- air pollutant catchers, also known as air filter systems. ECS provides efficient air filtration so that toxic pollutants do not get mixed into the atmosphere.
It is a type of air pollutant system which controls the air pollution by removing them inside the machine. Oxidizers are distinguished into carbon absorbers, thermal oxidizers, and catalytic.
• Parametric monitoring
These systems are also known as CPMS; these systems governors the airflow rates, pressure, and temperature, which help the users to keep the emissions in the obedience of the regulations. This method is an efficient yet economical method to meet requirements.
Various Types Of Air Pollution Control Systems
• Wet scrubbers – Scrubbers drag the air into the pool of water streams, where the released gases get purified by the liquid cleaning solution. When the wind moves through the solution, impurities are left behind, and a considerable amount of purified air gets passed via the other scrubber. Wet scrubbers are most ideally used at the chimneys of the factory outlets.
• Dry scrubbers – The working in dry scrubbers is almost the same as the wet scrubbers. Still, the only noticeable difference is that in dry scrubbers, the impurities/ pollutant gases are passed over the dry reagent. The slurry reagent, like limestone, is used to pull the pollutants together and form a containment later.
• Mist collectors – These systems work with a specialty to remove the mist or precipitates from the air streams. Coalesces are used to gather the vapours and then to form the droplets. You will find most collectors in every marine processing, chemical industry, metal forming, agriculture, food forming, and many more.
• Odour control systems – As the name suggests, these air pollutant systems altogether remove the poisonous gases from the surroundings. Certain special grade filters and powders which absorb the stinky odours are used.
• Electrostatic precipitators – Primarily use of these air pollution control systems is to remove the by-product gases released by the heavy utility machines. Precipitators trap in the smoke, ashes, debris inside the metal tubes. When the electricity is passed through those tubes, the particles become charged positively, thus all the pollutants gather and are then removed.
Subcategories Of Oxidizers
• Carbon absorbers – This system pulls the air into the scrubber and then remove air pollutants from it with the help of carbon. In this system, coal is either used in filter bags or activated carbon beds are constructed. When the airstream passes the fuel, it catches the impurities.
• Catalytic oxidizers – Inside a catalytic oxidizer, the activities are much alike the same, except the gas is heated at low temperatures. A catalytic oxidizer uses noble gas catalysts to perform oxidation. This system could be both regenerative and recuperative.
