Experience the Power of HUAWEI’s Mate 50 Smartphone

Huawei held a new product launch conference, New Mate 50 series was officially released.  After two years of silence, Today’s HUAWEI Mate 50 Series can help Huawei regain a strong position in the high-end market. Here are some of the sensations I had after a week of experience.

Exterior: Still symmetrical but with a different look

Mate 50 Smartphone

Is a rare series with its own design language among mainland flagships. The mate series has always insisted on symmetrical design, HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro is no exception back Huawei Mate 50 Pro Still continues the rear camera circular module design. But it’s different how the Mate 40 series lens is hidden. The Mate 50 Pro’s lens protrudes directly above the module, Vividly demonstrating its powerful imaging capabilities to the outside world.

Powerful Camera System for High-Quality Photos

In addition to its impressive rear camera system, the HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro also features a Paris stud design on the exterior of the device. This design element, commonly found on high-end watches, adds a touch of luxury to the smartphone. The inclusion of Paris studs is a clever design choice that enhances the overall aesthetics of the device.

At Huawei’s winter new product launch conference, which took place on December 23 last year, Yu Chengdong, CEO of the company’s consumer sector, said that the number of devices with the Harmony system exceeds 220 million. According to the hypothesis, the new version of HarmonyOS 3.0 will arrive on the market by July.

Thus, the Huawei conference from the product launch to the end of the second quarter will introduce this system. The company is likely to launch the series during the Huawei Mate 50 event with Harmony OS out of the box.

It’s also worth mentioning that the Open Atom Foundation recently released the OpenHarmony 3.1 beta system to the open-source software development community, bringing some improvements to the core modules and application layers. OpenHarmony Beta is usually a preview of the official version of Harmony. For example, HarmonyOS 3.0 is based on OpenHarmony 2.2 Beta 2.

Stunning Display and Design

According to speculation, Huawei’s Mate 50 series will use the same LTPO display as the iPhone 13 Pro. Additionally, this display will support the Adaptive Refresh Rate, which not only provides a high refresh rate of 120Hz but also saves power.

Impressive Processor and RAM for Fast Performance

In addition to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 898G, this device may have a version of the Kirin 9000. The Snapdragon 898 is a flagship processor that uses a 4nm processor from Samsung. This chip uses a 1+3+4 architecture. It has one large Cortex X2 core clocked at 3.0GHz, three large Cortex A78 cores clocked at 2.5GHz, and four small Cortex A55 cores clocked at 1.79GHz GHz.

According to famous Weibo leaker @DCS whistleblower, Huawei is currently testing the Huawei Mate 50 series. It also claims that this device will use the latest Snapdragon 898. Apparently, this chip will be the 4G version just like the P50 series.

The blogger did not directly say which series the Huawei Mate 50 meant in his latest report. However, he called this smartphone a “flagship of the business”. Since Huawei doesn’t release many flagships at the moment, it most likely has a Huawei Mate 50 series in mind.
